In most cases, when the title of a configuration window appears as a link (in blue and underscored), clicking on the link launches the window. If you want information about the window, click its Help button. You can also get information on configuration windows by clicking headings on the Contents tab that name the windows.
This help system does not specify which network features are unavailable to users whose access mode is read-only. The CMS menu-bar items and window options make it clear what is available and what is not. As a general rule, a feature is unavailable to read-only users if it would permit them to change the cluster layout or the settings of member switches.
References to Catalyst 2950 switches assume that users are running Cisco IOS Release 12.1(6)EA2 on them. No online help is provided for Catalyst 2950 switches that are running a lower release level.
An enhanced software image is a Cisco IOS image that supports additional features on specific Catalyst switches. All Catalyst 2950 switches run the enhanced software image except the Catalyst 2950-12 and 2950-24 switches. They run the standard software image.
